Berkshire County Arc supporters helped raise more than $53,500 at its 26th Annual Golf Classic at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield on September 29, 2021. In a field of 38 teams and 150 golfers, several have attended every year since its inception. (The 2020 event was canceled due to COVID.)

The funds raised will go directly to the people who BCArc serves, fulfilling unmet needs for individuals with disabilities, such as for vacations, dances, music classes, adaptive and therapeutic equipment, and family functions.

The money also goes to scholarships to high school graduates looking to pursue careers in human services. This year BCArc, with the Down Syndrome Family Group, gave away more than $6500 to area graduates. Corporate sponsors included: Berkshire Bank, Greylock Federal Credit Union, Health New England, Sheehan Health Group, CompuWorks, and The Notch Insurance Partners.

In its 26 years, the tournament has raised more than $880,000.
