Berkshire County Arc Rebrands Employment Services Division
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (Tues. Jan. 15, 2019) – Berkshire County Arc first began providing community based employment services in 1984. In the early nineties, in order to market what was then a novel service model, a brand name, Advantage Employee Network (AEN) was developed. AEN has grown and developed into one of the most successful programs of its type in Massachusetts. Today serving over 150 individuals annually, students from all school systems, and helping over 50 local businesses hire reliable, dedicated employees.
As the program has grown and morphed over the years, it has become better known as the employment services arm of Berkshire County Arc, and as such, we are re-naming the program to Berkshire County Arc – Employment Services.
Berkshire County Arc is one of the largest employers in Berkshire County and also provides services in Hampden and Hampshire counties. BCArc is well known and respected in all of the communities it serves. The alignment of all services with the Berkshire County Arc name will strengthen the recognition and impact. The name may change but the high quality service and commitment for excellence for services to the people served and business partners will continue.
The offices of Berkshire County Arc – Employment Services continues to be located at 20 Taconic Park Drive in Pittsfield, MA.

Founded in 1954, Berkshire County Arc is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization providing a broad range of community-based services to 1,000 individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and autism throughout Berkshire and Hampden Counties in Massachusetts. The agency offers three day programs, 39 residential programs, employment services, citizen- and self-advocacy programs, respite services, an adult family care program and Zip ‘N Sort Mail Services.
