Berkshire County Arc’s 23rd Annual Golf Classic Raises $43,000
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (June 6, 2017) – Berkshire County Arc held its 23rd Annual Golf Classic at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, Mass. on Thursday, May 25, 2017. More than 180 golfers on 45 teams participated in the tournament, which raised $43,000 to support individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries throughout Berkshire and Hampden Counties.
Approximately 100 organizations contributed sponsorships to the Golf Classic, including Corporate Sponsors Greylock Federal Credit Union and Greylock Insurance Agency. In addition, more than 50 volunteers and organizations donated time, raffle prizes and silent auction items.
To date, the agency’s annual Golf Classic has raised approximately $723,500 and awarded more than $93,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are pursuing careers in the human service field.
“Thank you to the players, volunteers and sponsors who made our 23rd Annual Golf Classic a success! Your hard work and generosity make it possible for us to help the more than 750 individuals we serve and to award scholarships to our community’s future human service professionals,” commented Berkshire County Arc’s President & CEO Kenneth W. Singer.
