Northview Program

Northview is a community-based program for adults with disabilities.

Northview seeks to enrich the lives of individuals through a full range of person-centered activities. These activities help individuals to maintain social, personal, and community growth.

This program serves eligible adults with disabilities:

  • Who may work part-time and want to engage in personal, social, and community-based experiences
  • Who are looking to retire or have retired and wish to maintain an active and engaged lifestyle
  • Who are currently unemployed wish for more social, personal, and non-work community-based activities

 

Northview uses a person-centered approach witheach individual and incorporates these components into its program:

Community Engagement Personal Functional Life Skills Social Functional Life Skills
These involve ongoing volunteering, attending community events, visiting places, and other activities Focus on healthy lifestyle choices, meal and snack prep, communication, self-advocacy and self-determination, safety, money, shopping/purchasing items, exploring, and doing personal leisure time activities Develop relationships, communication skills, and interactions in the community or employment.
