Steady. Trusted. Dependable. Albert Armah speaks softly, and his co-workers listen.

“I can work with anyone,” he says, as if that’s a natural thing. “When there’s conflict, I step in to resolve the issues. I work to keep the house stable, provide support, and train the new workers. I do what I’m supposed to do. I do it with love and passion. I am hard working.”

His talents and work ethic does not go unnoticed, earning him BCArc Employee of the Year a few years ago, edging out 800 other employees.

“I’ve worked at this one house all these years,” he said of the Lanesboro program. “Managers change, staff change, individuals change, I’m here to keep things steady. Nothing misses a beat here.”

“He provides stability, comfort and support,” said Jamie Sigoski, a BCArc supervisor. “He is a quick learner, he takes charge when appropriate, and, most importantly he has an extraordinary relationship with the individuals at his program.”
