Between two careers, spending time with family, traveling, and staying active, Aaron loves to keep a busy schedule.
Aaron currently works two part-time jobs: Sample Express, where has been employed for over ten years, and Berkshire Mountain Lodge, where he joined the housekeeping crew two years ago.
His employment experience has inspired him to seek independence in other areas of his life. An achievement that Aaron is very proud of is tracking and taking his medication more independently, something that he has been working on with his doctors.
In the future, he says that he would love to continue working in hospitality, and that his dream job is to work at the Holiday Inn where he used to visit and vacation with his grandparents.
Family means everything to Aaron, who makes it a priority to spend time with his loved ones often.
“I am only a mile away from my parents’ house and I am also close to my brother’s house, so I get to see them a lot,” Aaron said about the BCArc home where he has lived for the past nine years.
“I like to dance,” said Aaron. “I like dancing to Jewish music, country music, and hip hop. A little bit of everything.”
Another important pillar of Aaron’s life is his faith. He is proud to be Jewish and enjoys celebrating Jewish holidays. One of his favorite memories from his teen years was celebrating his Bar Mitzvah with family and friends.
This summer, Aaron has plenty of adventures planned, including a trip to Colorado for his cousin’s wedding. He is also looking forward to attending some BCArc events, including the 4th of July barbecue and the Dinner Dance in June.

His love for music also extends to attending concerts and musicals. He enjoys going to Tanglewood, where he has seen James Taylor perform live as well as The Fiddler on the Roof.
However, the event that Aaron is most excited for this summer is the Special Olympics. He plans to compete in both the regional games in Berkshire County and the statewide games in Boston. His main events are the softball throw and the 50-meter walk. He is hoping to bring home gold medals for both sports.
